The term IBS is defined as INNOVATIVE PROCESS of building construction using the concept of MASS – PRODUCTION of industrialized systems, produced at the factory or onsite within controlled environment, it includes the LOGISTIC and INSTALLATION aspect of it, done in proper coordination with SYSTEMATIC PLANNING and INTEGRATION.

IBS defination (nationally accepted) : 

A construction technique in which components are manufactured in a controlled environment (on or offsite), transported, positioned and assembled into a structure with minimal additional site works. (CIDB, 2003)
